There's nothing quite like cracking open hazelnuts and snacking on them. I love them. They remind me of Christmas back home!
For the rest of this evening, I am going to forget about the ensuing work load. I know I can handle it. So I'm just going to pick up my violin and play some familiar old fiddle tunes. One can never have enough fiddle tunes!

Today my proposal to proof a software concept was approved. I was ecstatic. Then they told me I was the one who would do the research and provide the functionality-- by the end of next week. That's when we renegotiate the terms of contract with the vendor of the piece we currently use. I have to prove that we can build something better. Me and my big ideas. The owner simply said, "have I ever mentioned that sleep is overrated?" Ha!
Sleep well everyone.
Tonight... I am tired, and yet I can't sleep. I'm going to actually try counting sheep. Let's put that ol' method to the test. I'll let you know in the a.m. if it works.
You know, a nice sexual romp might help... anyone? No? Damn...
Here's my mini-arrangement and recital of The Lion Sleeps. It is for four violins. I would love it if someone out there could write in a cello part!
Enjoy.
I'm not sure if I ever posted this. Hm. Shrug...
We studied this piece in orchestra over the summer. I learned both 1st and 2nd violin so I recorded them. It starts a bit abruptly but it's a nice moderately paced allegro from George Friedrich Handel.
I hope you don't play barefoot. Some of those notes are sharp. :-) read more
